Robi has 20+ years in people, process, and technology thought leadership with a major focus on healthcare and the public sector. He has held multiple leadership and executive positions with major partners to Healthcare organizations in Canada. He is passionate about technology and is always thinking of ways to leverage it for the betterment of our citizens, and the services they expect. Robi was on the executive team of PCM Canada (now Insight) where he led multiple teams in multiple Canadian provinces, mostly supporting healthcare, governments (federal/provincial/municipal), and Blue Crosses.
Currently, he is the Client Director, Healthcare with Cisco in western Canada.
Vice President - Brinda Narayan (CGI)
Brinda is a management consulting professional who has been on Alberta’s health transformation journey for over 17 years. She has held multiple roles such as executive consultant, strategy/change management consultant, client relationship manager, project lead, and program QA manager. She has been involved in many digital health initiatives and has developed deep relationships with its stakeholders.
At CGI, Brinda is a Director, Consulting Services on a health project. She has recently accepted a position on one of Health City’s working groups, with a goal to collaborate with key players in industry and government to make a difference in our province.
Past President - Brett Duncan (Ricoh)
Brett is a Client Executive with Ricoh Canada Inc., supporting the public sector. He has held various director positions for over 10 year in the IT industry and has spent over twelve years working with public sector accounts and organizations. He is a long-time member of ANHIX and has served previously as both a Board member and President.
Secretary - Kathy Ervin (Alberta Health Services)
Kathy has a keen interest in health informatics and extensive experience with integration and lab information. She led and served on many volunteer boards in her community and has training in the Board development program sponsored by the Government of Alberta Wildrose foundation. She has been in Healthcare for 40 years – over half of which has been in a variety of health system analyst and leadership roles. She is well connected within Alberta Health Services IT and Alberta Health IT Healthcare initiatives. She will continue to contribute to the evolution of bringing groups together in the quest for sustainable and effective Health IT systems and information.
Treasurer - Malcolm Steele (1414806 Alberta Inc.)
Malcolm is an independent consultant whose primary focus has been on the health care industry. He has over 40 years of IM/IT experience with 25 years of health care experience in Alberta. He has held senior positions at Alberta Health Including Executive Director of both Information Technology and Information Management. His consultancy experience included the position of Senior Manager at Andersen Consulting and Consulting Director/Health Practice lead at Sierra Systems. Now retired, he has been a member of the ANHIX Board for over fifteen years having served as Vice-President, President and Past President. He is currently the Treasurer, a position he has held for over ten years.
Heidi is an independent consultant with over 25 years of IM/IT experience in the health care industry. She was the Manager, Information Services for 12 years with the Northern Lights Regional Health Authority before joining Medisolution, a healthcare software company as Director, Professional Services. In that role, she was responsible for the support, implementation and maintenance of Medisolution's client base outside of Quebec. She worked for Medisolution for 8 years before undertaking several assignments as an independant consultant. Now retired, she has been a member of the ANHIX Board for over seventeen years serving many of those years as Secretary.
Director - Kevin Jones (Strata Health Solutions)
Kevin is the Senior Vice President for Canada at Strata Health Solutions and has been in Healthcare Technology for 19 years. He has participated in large and small solution deployments within the health sector both as an Executive Sponsor and Project Lead. He brings experience collaboratively designing solutions to the ANHIX board and looks to increase collaboration between private industry and public sector to ensure the success of all digital health projects. As a member of Digital Health Canada, CHIEF (Canada’s Health Informatics Executive Forum), and the Chair of the Alberta Chapter of Digital Health Canada, Kevin brings national perspective to the Alberta Network for Health Information eXchange Society.
Director - Uma Kutty (Alberta Health Services)
Uma has over 17 years of experience managing the delivery of digital transformation programs for public health agencies and Fortune 100 organizations. She is currently a Program Manager of the Integration Coordination Centre (ICC) with AHS, where she manages a project portfolio for the Provincial EHR. She has extensive experience in program/project delivery, stakeholder management, business process reengineering and service delivery. Previously, she worked as a management consultant in the US, advising public health agencies and managed healthcare organizations. Uma is a trained Computer Science engineer, MBA (IIM-Lucknow) and graduate of SDA Bocconi where she completed a specialized Masters in Management of International Organizations.
Director - Andrea Lynch (CGI)
Andrea is a Director, Consulting Services with CGI and a Registered Nurse, with over 15 years’ experience in health care delivery, leadership, strategic program planning, education, communications and technology implementation. She has a Masters in Leadership and recently completed her Healthcare Innovation and Design Graduate Certificate. She is passionate about blending her nursing background with technology, women in leadership, mentoring others and solving challenges through innovation. Andrea has been involved in numerous projects across Western Canada, including AH MyHealth Records, implementing Mass Immunization Clinics for the Covid-19 vaccine and supporting emerging technology work throughout Alberta.
Director - Quinn Mah (Alberta Health)
With 20 years experience at Alberta Health and 25 years experience in the health sector, Quinn currently is the Executive Director of Information Management at Alberta Health. His areas of responsibility include stewardship of the Alberta Health Information Act, privacy and security, and eHealth strategy and governance. During the pandemic, Quinn was involved in a number of pandemic related IT initiatives such as ABTraceTogether, the Alberta Covid Records QR code, and the Alberta Vaccine Booking System. Quinn has a BSc. Computing Science and a Master of Public Health both from the University of Alberta.
Director - Geoff Rabbie (Telus Health)
Geoff is a Senior Project Manager with the Patient Engagement Team at TELUS Health in Edmonton. His 20 years of healthcare experience is focused on strategic planning, project management, program management, system implementation, business analysis, portfolio management, operational support, change management and stakeholder engagement. He has worked on ehealth initiatives across Canada including the Atlantic Provinces, Ontario, the Northwest Territories and Alberta. In addition to being a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and trained in PROSCI change management, Geoff has a Bachelor of Science in Economics and serves as a Public Member on the Council of the College of Dieticians of Alberta.
Director - Peter Smith (Strata Health)
Peter is the President & CEO of Strata Health, a company specializing in intelligent patient navigation throughout the continuum of care. He has worked for more than 25 years in technology across several industries including healthcare, transportation, eCommerce, banking, and construction.
Peter has been a member of the ANHIX board since 2014 and served as Vice President in 2016/2017 and President in 2017/2018.
Carolyn Trumper (Alberta Health Services) - Director
Carolyn has 30+ years healthcare experience with leadership in nursing, QI, patient safety, regulation, legislation and policy. A leader/innovator, she works in integration and improvement of complex systems partnering with clinicians, academia, government, colleges, and public agencies. Currently the E.D. of Integrated QM, Clinical Information Systems, Nursing Clinical Education and Professional Practice in Central Zone, AHS, and faculty member in Health Policy and QI in Healthcare Management. She is an experienced decision maker in strategies for increasing patient, public and member engagement through implementation/utilization of gamification, digital communication, crowd-sourcing using social media platforms for convergent/divergent thinking, webinars and outreach.
